Excel skills and concepts can be described in a manual, presented in a lecture format, or demonstrated 'live' via on-screen projection, but they are unlikely to be completely assimilated until the participants have had the opportunity to perform the skill or task themselves on a computer, ideally supported by a facilitator - learning Excel is a hands-on process. Participants will have different learning styles, and no one method of presenting Excel concepts will suit all participants.
