Animals cannot tell us if they are feeling sick or healthy, but we can observe signs that suggest that they are healthy. These include:
- bright, alert, responsive
- able to stand, walk and run properly
- eat, drink and defecate normally
- good body condition/weight
- glossy coat and feather and complete/intact
- normal social interactions and behaviour
