iSIKHNAS allows users in the field to query information from system. It is possible to query system-based static data such as message formats and codes as well as submitted data such as case reports and farmer herd lists, for example.
Message formats
It is easy to forget the exact format of a message if you haven't used it frequently. Users should just send the start code of the message to iSIKHNAS and the system will send a return SMS with the correct message format. Here is an example

Location queries
Using the start code CKL with a freetext entry (of three or more letters) users can query the code for a location they know the name of. Here is an example;

This reply shows that there are many locations with the name "Bogor". Remember: Village level location codes are eight digits long. The first 2 represent the province, the following 2 the kabupaten, then 2 for kecematan, and the final 2 for village. Most staff will come to learn their relevant province, district and kecematan codes quickly so it will become a quick and easy process. 3201 is the district Bogor in Jawa Barat, 3270 is district Kota Bogor in Jawa Barat ...
